Jewish people, rejoice!

Happy Hanukkah! A great miracle happened here, and whatnot!

I'm off to London tonight, with trepidation.... I've mentioned I hate flying, right? Well, anyway, no other way to get to England in 10 1/2 hours, so off I go.

Peace.

Tamale Days freakin' ruuuuuuuuuules

I know, I know, you're thinking, "What happened to bringing good grammar to the Internet? What's up with the title, Dew?!?"

"Tamale Days" is actually a singular item; it's annual, so there are more than one, but it's the term for the day rather than days.... It's a little hard to explain, but suffice it to say that lovely Brendan hosted a lovely party, and vegetarian tamales made without lard are the BOMB. Yu-u-u-u-uhhhh-mmmmm! Christina's mom's recipe was made with many cooks in the kitchen, and not ruined, probably thanks to Christina's iron-handed control of the processes, but I've never had a better tamale in muh life. Deeeeelish. Now to get the recipe and knock out everyone I know with their fabulous perfection....

There were babies at Tamale Days this year; three total, of whom 15-month Maggie was the most delectable. She's divine, and chunky, and perfect. Equal "yum" for Maggie as for the tamales, although she's more durable. Man, I love babies, or have I bored you with that before today?

Off to London for fun on Tuesday! Whooo hooo! But what will I do without Rob to drag around the City after dark? Prolly shop. On the other hand, given the exchange rate, maybe I should just walk alone, and see if I can drag Dad and Terry with me just part of the way!
