In honor of the Red Sox' clinching of the AL East for the first time in 12 years, a Sox-themed post today, if you'll indulge me.

My old friend Rob Crawford is running as the first President of the Red Sox Nation. Rob is a great lad and a lifelong [rabid] Red Sox fan, so if you've got a few minutes, please review his platform and consider casting your vote (here) for a regular guy to garner a nice honor, not least because he co-wrote and has performed a really catchy tune to show his Red Sox faith. p.s. For anyone who missed it, the Red Sox led the AL East for the. entire. season. Not since April were they not in first place, unless I'm remembering wrong -- and for most of the season, percentage-wise, they were the best team in all of baseball. Un-freaking-believable. It's a beautiful thing. Now let's just hope it means another WS victory in their future... their near future....
